The Armargh Rhymmers en Euskal Herria

Celebration of the ancient celtic festival of Bealtaine
In collaboration with CARA, the Armagh Rhymers will put on a special procession to celebrate the ancient Celtic festival of Bealtaine which heralds the arrival of Summer and the return of light and fertility to the world. The procession will commence at 18.30 h in “El Parque de Europa” in the centre of Gernika (Vizcaya) and proceed through the centre of the town to “Plaza San Juan de Ibarra”, where the Rhymers will perform a concert at 21.00 h. This unique artistic collaboration includes professional Basque musicians, the Gernika-Lumo School of Music, the dance group Elai-Alai from Gernika-Lumo, Irish Craftworker Paul Carville, and Ciorcal Comhra, an Irish community group of musicians and poets from County Armagh (Northern Ireland).
